Training & Development
Helping our team become the best versions of themselves
At EFT Group, we want to be the best at what we do and that means having the best people in their fields.
Delivering on this requires continually training and developing our teams so that they hone their skills and reach their full potential.
Each year, every colleague received a CPD budget that can be used for training and development relevant to their career goals and aspirations.
Last year, we invested over £200,000 in our team’s training and development.

EFT Academy
We deliver much of our training through our own EFT Academy.
This purpose built facility is where we deliver hands-on practical and product training, including accredited courses.
It’s also used by our apprentices to practice for their practical exams, as well as our more senior colleagues to enhance their product and technical knowledge.
Work Placements
There are hundreds of career paths related to construction and the built environment, not just the stereotypical ones. But a lack of awareness can mean talented students miss out on these rewarding career opportunities and the industry goes without their valuable skills.
We’re on a mission to fix this by raising awareness of the opportunities that students have available to them. We do this through working with schools and colleges, engaging with students, and offering taster days to let them try out different trades.
Providing valuable skills to new generations
Beyond this, we also offer meaningful work placements right across EFT Group. From working on the tools to helping out in our finance department, we offer work placements for everyone. These are great opportunities to let students get a taste for the world of work and try out a role they think they may like to pursue.
Each year, we provide more than 20 work placements, often running for several months. Going beyond the traditional two-week placement gives students the opportunity to really get stuck in and learn new skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
